French pilot Bruno Vezzoli took off on Wednesday for his cross-channel flight attempt aboard a flying car aptly named 'Pegasus' - a winged horse in greek mythology.
Minutes before take-off, Vezzoli performed the final checks in a bid not to meet the fate of another greek hero, İcarus, whose endeavour failed when he flew too near to the sun.
