Bob Dudley, BP's chief executive officer (CEO) along with two high level BP officials will deliver speeches at the 22nd World Petroleum Congress that will be held in Istanbul between July 9 and13, the company announced on Monday.
BP also became the platinum sponsor, the most valuable sponsorship that provides the highest support, of the Congress of which Anadolu Agency is the Global Communication Partner, according to the statement.
At the congress known as the "Olympics" of the oil and gas sector, three high level officials from the company will participate in panel discussions and speeches, including CEO Dudley.
Chief Executive Alternative Energy and Executive Vice President Dev Sanyal, will moderate the CEO panel entitled The Industry's Response To The Paris Declaration on July 10 at 14.15 local time.
On July 11 at 14.15 local time, Chief Executive Downstream Tufan Erginbilgic, will deliver a speech at the panel entitled Strategies for Refining and Petrochemicals.
Dudley will also deliver a speech entitled Taking Leadership for Responsible Operations on July 12 at 09.30 local time.
Around 500 high-level executives from leading energy companies including BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Total, Saudi Aramco, SOCAR, and up to 50 energy ministers and 7,000 delegates are set to attend the Congress under the theme of Bridges to our Energy Future.
Topics including the global oil sector, the future of conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources, global policies regarding energy efficiency, low carbon emission solutions, infrastructure and investment opportunities, will be debated during roundtable discussions, workshops, technical forums and panels within the scope of the Congress.
Sessions will also be held to discuss host country Turkey's development in the oil and gas industry.
