Cup winners Borussia Dortmund will play host to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the Super Cup to open the new season, the German Football League (DFL) confirmed Friday.
Bayern have been involved in the last five Super Cups and head to Dortmund once more on August 5 for a 8.30 pm (1830 GMT) kick-off.
Dortmund also hosted the last edition which was won 2-0 by Bayern.
The traditional fixture raises the curtain on the 2017/18 campaign which continues with the first round of the German Cup on August 11-14 before the Bundesliga begins on August 18.
