La Liga side Real Betis have secured the signing of Spanish international midfielder Javi Garcia from Zenit St Petersburg, the Russian club announced on Monday.
Local media reported that Betis paid a fee of 1.5 million euros ($1.8m) for the 30-year-old, who won two international caps between 2012-2013.
Garcia joined Zenit three years ago in a 17 million-euro move from Manchester City, and won the 2014-15 Russian league title and the 2016 Russian Cup.
He becomes new Betis coach Quique Setien's ninth signing since taking over in May, joining the likes of former Barcelona winger Cristian Tello and fellow midfielders Victor Camarasa and Andres Guardado in moving to Seville.
They have notably lost Spain under-21 star Dani Ceballos, with the midfielder moving to Real Madrid for 16.5 million euros.
