Turkish police killed an assailant in front of a Security Directorate building in the southeastern city of Gaziantep Tuesday.
The bomb squad was dispatched to the scene against the possibility that the assailant might be a suicide bomber, police officers said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
Operations are being launched around the city to capture persons who may have conspired with the assailant.
Following the attack, security has been tightened in the city.
Police officers are also taking witness statements.
