Sixteen PKK terrorists were killed in three separate anti-terror operations in southeastern Sirnak and Hakkari provinces on Monday, according to official sources.
Seven terrorists were killed in an airstrike in Terzi Tepe region, according to a military source, who asked not to be named due to restriction on talking to the media.
The air force had carried out the strike in the mountainous Incebel-Kato area. Four weapon pits were also destroyed in the operation that remains ongoing, the source added.
Separately, the Sirnak Governor's Office said in a statement seven more terrorists were killed in a counter-terrorism operation in the province's Beytussebap district.
A total of 94 terrorists have been killed in the province since the start of this year.
Meanwhile, two terrorists were reportedly killed during a clash with security forces in Cukurca district of Hakkari province on Monday, according to the regional governor's office.
More than 1,200 victims, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
