Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım chaired a security meeting at the Çankaya Palace in capital Ankara Wednesday that included the military chief and head of the country's intelligence agency.
The meeting lasted one-and-a-half hours, an Anadolu Agency correspondent outside the premier's office said.
Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, National Intelligence Organization (MIT) head Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfekçi, Presidential spokesman İbrahim Kalın, Prime Ministry Undersecretary Fuat Oktay, and Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ümit Yalçın were among those who attended the meeting.
The meeting was closed to the press and no official statement was made at the end of it.
