At least two PKK terrorists were killed during a counterterrorism operation in the southern province of Kahramanmaraş on Tuesday, a security source said.
Three other terrorists were apprehended during a clash with Turkish security forces in the Nurhak district of Kahramanmaraş, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
One of the captured terrorists was injured and received treatment at Elbistan State Hospital, the source added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015. Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of some 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians.
