At least 11 suspects were arrested for allegedly being linked to Tuesday's bomb attack on police in southern Mersin province, Development Minister Lutfi Elvan said Thursday.
"The investigation over the [attack] remains ongoing. According to initial reports, the PKK terrorist organization seems to be behind it," Elvan told reporters after a meeting with Mersin Governor Ali Ihsan Su.
The bomb attack on Tuesday left several police officers wounded.
Elvan said six injured continue to receive treatment at hospitals; none of them were in critical condition.
"Three of them will be discharged from the hospital," he added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the EU and U.S. -- has killed more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians since July 2015.
