Turkey's national science agency has become the center of young researchers' attention at a career opportunities event in London Wednesday.
Represented by a team of research programs experts at the Naturejobs Career Expo, TUBITAK -- The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey -- informed visitors about the scientific research programs funded in Turkey.
Using the slogan "Destination Turkey Initiative", agency representatives told Anadolu Agency that they have received a big interest for research programs offered to researchers in Turkish universities, research institutes and industrial organizations.
Information about EU Horizon 2020 European Research Council, Individual Fellowships of EU Horizon2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions, TUBITAK - BIDEB National Fellowships and Joint Project Opportunities between Turkey-UK/Turkey-USA was handed out at the stand.
"All researchers, independent of their research experience, are invited to participate in this event and visit our stand during the day," a press release by the agency said prior to the event.
TUBITAK will also be represented at a career fair in New York on Nov. 4-5.
Founded in 1963, TUBITAK has a stated goal to develop "science, technology and innovation" policies, support and conduct research and development, and to "play a leading role in the creation of a science and technology culture" in Turkey.
The agency runs various research programs funded by Turkey and EU.
