Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu spoke with his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil over the phone on Thursday after Saudi Arabia urged its citizens to leave crisis-hit Lebanon, according to a diplomatic source.
No details of the talk were released.
Saudi Arabia earlier on Thursday instructed its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country "as soon as possible", according to the official Saudi Press Agency.
The announcement came only four days after the appointment of Walid bin Mohammed al-Yaqoub as the new Saudi ambassador to Lebanon after the post stood vacant for 15 months.
The source said Çavuşoğlu also spoke with his Croatian counterpart Marija Pejcinovic Buric.
