Millionaire hunter dies after elephant attack in Africa

In Gabon, 75-year-old American businessman Ernie Dosio, who entered the forest to hunt a rare antelope species, died after being attacked by a herd of elephants he encountered.

In the incident that occurred in Gabon's Lopé-Okanda forests, Dosio, who went to the region with his professional guide, was attacked by a herd of five elephants he suddenly encountered.


Dosio, who was crushed under the elephant herd, died at the scene, while his accompanying guide survived with severe injuries.


Dosio, a 75-year-old businessman living in California, had been involved in "trophy hunting" activities worldwide for many years.
