In Washington DC, USA, a group of Jewish individuals gathered in front of the White House to advocate for a "ceasefire" in response to Israel's attacks on Palestine.
This assembly took place in Farragut Square, organized by social platforms IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace. Their message, as reflected in social media posts, was clear: "American Jews now call for a ceasefire, stop the genocide against Palestinians."
The demonstrators, holding a prominent banner that read "Ceasefire," also displayed banners with messages like "No to war, no to discrimination," "My pain is not your weapon," and "Stop the genocide in Gaza."
Emphasizing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza through their speeches and slogans, the group later marched towards the White House.
Continuing their protest in front of the White House, they blocked traffic and attempted to obstruct entrances to the White House through a sit-in demonstration.
Police intervened and detained approximately 15 individuals from the group who were attempting to block the road.
