Miguel Diaz-Canel vows Cuba will not turn a blind eye to Israeli massacres in Gaza Strip
During the meeting with Palestinian students, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel reaffirmed his condemnation of Israel's massacres in the blockaded Gaza Strip and stressed that Cuba stands with the Palestinian people.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, in a statement released by the Cuban Presidency, recently welcomed 144 Palestinian medical students on International Students' Day. Among them were 53 students from Gaza.
During their meeting, Canel reiterated his condemnation of Israel's occupation of Gaza and vowed to not turn a blind eye to the ongoing situation.
At the reception, Canel was informed by Palestinian medical students about their continued studies and the well-being of their families back home. Additionally, Palestinian Ambassador to Havana Akram Samhan provided updates on the current state of affairs in Gaza.
"There can be no excuse for the events that occurred (in Gaza), and it is imperative that we denounce this brutality," Canel said in a statement.
Highlighting that the majority of those killed by Israel were civilians, with a large portion being women and children, Canel denounced Israel's actions as a deliberate attack on the future of Palestine.
Canel reassured that he will work tirelessly to guarantee that the aspiring healthcare professionals, whom he deems as the future of Palestine, successfully finish their specialized training.
Expressing support for Palestine's pursuit of autonomy and sovereignty through self-determination, Canel stated that he would not stand idly by.
