China's Taiwan Affairs Office said on Monday that Taiwan's newly inaugurated President Lai Ching-te sent "dangerous" signals that seek to undermine peace and stability.
The current situation in the Taiwan strait is "complicated and grim", the office said in a statement responding to Lai's inauguration speech earlier on Monday.
