China's former defence minister Wei Fenghe has been expelled from the Communist Party for serious violations of party discipline and the law, state news agency Xinhua reported on Thursday.
Wei accepted money and gifts in violation of the rules and took advantage of his posts to seek benefits for others, accepting money and valuables in return, Xinhua said.
China's central military commission launched an investigation into Wei in September 2023.
