Prabowo Subianto takes oath as Indonesia’s 8th president
Prabowo Subianto was inaugurated as Indonesia's eighth president on Sunday, succeeding Joko Widodo after a decade in office. The ceremony in Jakarta was attended by foreign dignitaries, and Prabowo, elected in February, is set to announce his Cabinet ministers later in the day.

Prabowo Subianto took the oath Sunday as Indonesia's eighth president, succeeding Joko Widodo's decade of rule.
The inauguration ceremony was held in Jakarta with foreign dignitaries in attendance, according to the Jakarta Globe.
Prabowo, who served as defense minister in Jokowi's Cabinet, was elected in February.
He is scheduled to announce the names of his Cabinet ministers later Sunday.
