
China launches new communication technology test satellite
China launched a new communication technology test satellite Friday from Xichang in Sichuan, using a Long March rocket. The satellite will conduct multi-band and high-speed communication technology tests. This marks the 569th mission of the Long March rocket series.

China sent a new communication technology test satellite into space on Friday, state-run media reported.
The satellite was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The satellite will be used mainly to carry out multi-band and high-speed communication technology validation tests.
The launch was the 569th mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
