France detains two filmmakers over sexual abuse allegations
On Monday, French officials took into custody film directors Benoit Jacquot and Jacques Doillon to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct, according to those familiar with the matter.

French authorities on Monday detained leading film directors Benoit Jacquot and Jacques Doillon for questioning over accusations of sexual abuse, sources close to the case said.
Judith Godreche, a 52-year-old actor and director, has formally accused Jacquot and Doillon, of rape and sexual assault when she was a minor. Both men deny the allegations. Their lawyers denounced their taking into custody.
