U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met two key Israeli officials on Monday and discussed ongoing talks toward a ceasefire deal between Israel and Palestinian resistance group Hamas, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said.
National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi and Israel's Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer in the meeting confirmed Israel is still committed to reaching a ceasefire deal under terms laid out by President Joe Biden on May 31.
