France on Wednesday expressed concerns over Israel's military operation this week in the West Bank city of Jenin, which resulted in the death of at least nine Palestinians, and called on Israel to show restraint.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot would raise the topic of settlers in the West Bank at a European Union meeting on Jan. 27, said a statement from the French Foreign Ministry.
