Turkey's LPG production increases by 8.1% in 2016

Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production increased by 8.1 percent compared to 2015, according to the report by Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released on Tuesday.
EMRA said in its annual LPG report that Turkey produced 972.2 thousand tons of LPG in 2016, an increase from 899.2 thousand tons compared to 2015.
The report also stated that the country's LPG imports decreased by 2.7 percent in 2016 compared to the previous year and amounted to 3.41 million tons. The majority of LPG imports came from Algeria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Norway and the U.S.
Autogas sales represented 76.5 percent of Turkish LPG while bottled LPG saw a 20 percent share and bulk LPG had a 3.4 percent share.
