Mediterranean business summit in Barcelona next week

The economic challenges facing the Mediterranean region will be the focus of a major business conference in Barcelona next week.

The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders will see forums discuss restructuring and diversification, attracting foreign investment and improving regional cooperation.

The three-day event runs from Nov. 22 and will look at industries as diverse as textiles, water resources, renewable energy and Islamic finance as well as the growing role of female entrepreneurs.

The Strength in Diversity: Our Economic Power conference will give business and political figures the opportunity to share practices and experiences, propose projects and create business opportunities.

The event has been organized by the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Union for the Mediterranean and the European Institute of the Mediterranean.
