In its second edition this year, Turkey's largest aerospace and technology festival Teknofest Istanbul will give away over 2 million Turkish liras ($373,000) in prize money for young technology talents, said the organizers of the event.
Winning teams will be awarded over 2 million Turkish liras (over $373,000) in several categories such as artificial intelligence, robotics, rocket science, unmanned aerial and underwater systems, turbofan engine and model satellite design.
Applications are accepted at www.teknofestistanbul.org until the end of February.
In addition to the prize money, teams will be supported with the technical consultancy and supplies.
The event is supported by Turkey's Industry and Technology Ministry, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, leading technology companies, public institutions, and universities.
The four-day Teknofest Istanbul, organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3), will start Sept. 20.
The festival was organized for the first time in 2018 and attended by over 550,000 people.
Last year, the festival hosted drone racers, white hat hackers, and technology entrepreneurs from all over the world.
