It would be a breach of contract if Russia insists that gas purchases by EU countries have to be paid in roubles from now on, says German Economy Minister Robert Habeck.
Germany will consult with its European partners to consider the demand, said Habeck, pointing out that it was a sign Russian President Vladimir Putin is no longer a stable partner.
