Türkiye's benchmark BIST 100 index opened Friday at 13,889.37 points, up 0.12% or 17.12 points from the previous close.
The index had closed Thursday down 0.67% at 13,872.25 points, with a daily transaction volume of 206 billion liras ($4.48 billion).
As of 0950 local time (0650GMT), the lira traded at 46.0855 against the US dollar, 53.6050 against the euro, and 61.9690 against the British pound.
Gold was priced at $4,454.60 per ounce, while Brent crude oil futures stood at $95.05 per barrel.
