Greek transport minister resigns over deadly train collision

Greek Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis has submitted his resignation, he said on Wednesday, following a train collision in central Greece which killed at least 36 people and injured dozens.
He said in a statement that resigning was his duty and "the least he could do to honour the memory of the victims", adding that he was undertaking the responsibility for the state's "long-standing failures."
