French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne's government on Monday survived both no-confidence motions over its decision to bypass parliament and impose a controversial pension reform.
The 577-seat National Assembly lower house overwhelmingly rejected a motion brought by the far-right, after the government narrowly survived an earlier multiparty motion by just nine votes, speaker Yael Braun-Pivet announced. She confirmed this meant that the reform had now been adopted by the legislature.
