Police in the Greek capital arrested a PKK terror group member, who was wanted in France for his involvement in recruiting people for the group, local media reported on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old man was arrested in the Exarcheia neighborhood of Athens, the public broadcaster ERT said, adding that three other people, including one woman from Belgium, were also held along with him.
The Greek police consider the case particularly serious and will examine whether the arrested man attempted to develop a network in the country, it said.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK-listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU-has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
