Germany on Thursday banned Hamas and a pro-Palestine association, the country's interior minister said.
Addressing a news conference in Berlin, Nancy Faeser recalled that she decided three weeks ago, along with Chancellor Olaf Scholz, to ban the Palestinian group Hamas and the Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network (Samidoun).
Hamas is aiming to destroy the state of Israel, Faeser opined, criticizing Hamas for aggressive behavior during demonstrations and aggressions towards Jewish institutions and homes in the country.
The minister also accused Samidoun of propaganda against Israel and Jews.
