The president of the EU Commission repeated her position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on Tuesday: "No forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza."
Ursula von der Leyen held a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah in Brussels, according to a statement.
She noted that the king had a "vital role in ensuring stability."
"I reiterated my position on no forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the EU's support for a two-state solution," she wrote on X.
Von der Leyen also described Jordan as a "valued and strategic partner of the EU," vowing the bloc's support for Jordan's modernization efforts.
"Today, I have announced an EU package of over 900 million € ($961 million) in support of Jordan," she said.
