France's Finance Minister Roland Lescure said on Monday ‍he would convene ‌a ‍meeting of his counterparts from the Group of Seven (G7) countries to discuss trade and sovereignty "in the coming days", after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened additional tariffs until ‌the United States was allowed to buy Greenland.

"We are ‍fully supportive ‍of Greenland ‍and Denmark," ‍Lescure said.

"Blackmail between friends is obviously unacceptable."
