The headquarters of Goldman Sachs was placed under police surveillance in Paris following threats from an Iranian group, broadcaster BFM TV reported Thursday.
The decision came late Wednesday night after US authorities warned their London office that an Iranian group was threatening to target Goldman Sachs buildings in Paris with explosive devices.
Although a heightened police vigilance was put in place very quickly, no suspicious elements have yet been identified, a judicial source told the French broadcaster.
The surveillance comes a few days after a foiled attack on the Paris headquarters of the Bank of America.
The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (PNAT) said Wednesday a judicial investigation has been launched on charges of "criminal association in connection with a terrorist enterprise" after the attempted attack on the night between March 27 and 28.
Four suspects were later in the day indicted and jailed, BFMTV learned from a judicial source.
