Wine production in France is expected to dip below 34 million hectolitres this year, down 6% from 2025 and 17% below the 2021/25 average due to a fall in area and after severe dry and hot weather hurt vineyards, the farm ministry said on Monday.
In its first estimate for this year's harvest, the ministry said this would mark one of the worst years for wine output in the past three decades.
