He emphasized that global interest in the historical site has been rapidly increasing and that the Ministry has been conducting special efforts each year to promote Göbeklitepe.
Yazgı said that the number of visitors to Göbeklitepe is steadily rising and continued:
"There is currently an incredible fascination with Göbeklitepe around the world, everyone is curious. Our esteemed scientists say that when they see it in person, it is far more impressive than what they saw in the photos, and some of them don't want to leave. ''
''These are very special emotions. With our promotional strategy, Göbeklitepe has reached 600,000 visitors in the first 10 months of 2024, which is about a 50% increase compared to the same period last year.''
''We expect that this number will increase even more in 2025. We will all witness the growing interest in the Göbeklitepe visitor site."
Yazgı also reminded that an exhibition titled "Göbeklitepe: The Mystery of a Sacred Site" opened about a month ago at the iconic Colosseum in Rome, Italy.
Speaking about the exhibition's special visitor interest, Yazgı said:
"Our exhibition will remain open for 6 months, and we expect around 6 million people to visit it. The promotion of Göbeklitepe has resonated strongly worldwide.''
''In both our promotional films and in the TV series sector, we treat Göbeklitepe separately. As we export TV series, we have also captured a different vibe by featuring Göbeklitepe imagery. ''
''Interest globally has significantly increased. We hope to see even better days ahead."
