World famous Turkish folk poet Aşık Veysel commemorated at his grave

A commemoration program was held at the grave of Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu, who died 50 years ago at the age of 78, in the village of Sivri Alan, in Şarkışla district, on the anniversary of his death.

Aşık Veysel's songs and poems are known for their simplicity, sincerity, and emotional depth, often dealing with universal themes such as love, loss, nature, and social justice. His most famous work is "Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım" ("I Am On A Long, Narrow Road"), which has become a classic Turkish folk song and has been covered by many artists.
