The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that, as of today, the second round of vaccinations is taking place in the central regions of Gaza.

The announcement also included a map showing the vaccination sites in these areas.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) called on all parties to adhere to the humanitarian ceasefire to ensure that the vaccines reach all children.
On August 16, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the detection of the first polio case in the Gaza Strip.
In cooperation with the WHO and UNRWA, a polio vaccination campaign was launched, targeting over 600,000 children under the age of 10 in Gaza.
The first round was completed on September 16, with a reported coverage of 90%.
