Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced plans to transport Palestinian cancer patients to Türkiye for treatment
Koca, who held a phone call with the Israeli Health Minister, said that Türkiye is ready to transport Palestinian cancer patients, especially children, to Egypt by ambulance and from there to Türkiye by air ambulance. The health chief added that Türkiye is ready to begin transporting the patients as soon as possible.
In a speech to the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Koca underlined: "All forms of violence are unacceptable. Turkey is committed to continuing the treatment of innocent children. I reminded the Israeli Health Minister of Türkiye's responsibility in this regard and I told him the two countries have agreed that the failure to maintain health services is inexplicable."
Koca also noted that Türkiye is delivering around 500 tonnes of relief supplies, including medicines, medical equipment, 8 field hospitals, 20 ambulances, and medical consumables on a ship.
