US rapper Mac Miller has died, his family said in a statement issued on Friday.
"Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends, and fans," they said.
"There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time," the statement added.
According to US news reports, the rapper was found dead at his home on Friday outside Los Angeles after paramedics had been called to the scene.
Miller, a former boyfriend of pop star Ariana Grande, had recently published his latest album, "Swimming," and was looking forward to a tour that was due to start in San Francisco at the end of next month.
The rapper had discussed addiction problems in interviews in the past.
