The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) on Wednesday donated 12 electrocardiogram (ECG) devices to 10 health centers across Montenegro.
The Ministry of Health of Montenegro said in a statement that the ECG devices, used to assess the condition of the heart, were delivered to health centers in the cities of Pljevlja, Andrijevica, Bijelo Polje, Cetinje, Tivat, Danilovgrad, Niksic and Berane.
Health Minister Kenan Hrapovic said they enjoy good relations with the Turkish state-run aid agency.
TIKA has been assisting the health sector in Montenegro for many years.
Hrapovic noted that TIKA has provided close to €2.5 million ($2.88 million) worth of donation in healthcare in Montenegro between 2007-2017.
Turkey's Ambassador to Podgorica Serhat Galip said that Turkey and Montenegro have good cooperation and TIKA has conducted 320 projects across the country.
Turkey's government-sponsored TIKA agency is responsible for implementing the country's developmental cooperation policies overseas.
The agency, established in 1992, offers aid to more than 40 countries around the World.
