A Russian supermodel and Goodwill Ambassador of the UN hosted an event on women's health in Turkey's Mediterranean Antalya province on Friday.
Speaking at the event "Let's Talk" in Antalya's Kemer district, Natalia Vodianova said the effects of popular misconceptions regarding women's health currently permeate modern society.
She also said considering that political and social decisions are made by men in many countries, it could be understood how women's health issues are being neglected.
The global initiative in partnership with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) hosted opinion leaders, influencers, activists and global policymakers to create sustainable solutions and tackle taboos surrounding women's health across the world.
UNFPA Executive Director Natalia Kanem, former Canadian model and actress Dayle Haddon, Polish model Anja Rubik, British journalist Anne McElvoy, British fashion model Adwoa Aboah and Turkish model Azra Akin were among the speakers at the event.
