A Turkish and Malaysian charity on Friday sent 15 trucks carrying food, tents, clothing and toys to northwestern Syria.
The trucks crossed the Cilvegözü border gate in eastern Turkey to enter Afrin city.
Turkey's Diyanet Foundation, an aid organization under the country's religious authority, has been collaborating with the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islam Organization for seven years.
This year 15 million Turkish liras ($2.6 million) worth of aid will be dispatched and a school with a capacity of 1,200 students will be built in Idlib, northwestern Syria, said Abdurrahman Çetin, deputy head of the Turkish foundation, in a statement.
