A couple enjoying a romantic getaway in Colorado now insists they have captured an astonishing encounter with the elusive creature known as Bigfoot on camera. This remarkable event occurred in broad daylight as the mythical being was spotted on the side of a mountain, later sitting down to rest.

Shannon and Stetson Parker, who were celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary, claim to have witnessed this legendary giant while embarking on a scenic journey on the narrow gauge rail line connecting Durango and Silverton in the southwestern part of Colorado.

Shannon, a 44-year-old contractor from Cheyenne, Wyoming, recounted, "We were searching for elk in the mountains, and my husband suddenly spotted something moving. He couldn't quite explain it, so he exclaimed, 'Bigfoot!' It stood at least six or seven feet tall, or perhaps even taller. Its appearance blended so well with the sagebrush in the mountains that it almost seemed to camouflage itself when crouching down. If you had asked us before this trip, we might have been skeptical about the existence of Bigfoot, but now we are thoroughly convinced."

Shannon shared a video of the enigmatic sighting, lasting one to two minutes, on her Facebook page. Furthermore, the train's conductor informed the couple about a previous, inexplicable encounter with a non-human entity in the same area.

"He mentioned that during one of his snowshoeing adventures in those mountains, he came across footprints that were significantly larger and had a longer stride than those of regular snowshoes," Parker explained. "He, too, has witnessed unexplainable phenomena in the region."

While some individuals readily embraced the Parkers' Bigfoot claims, with comments like "I believe" and "love it!" others remained skeptical.

One commenter humorously asked, "And what were y'all drinking?"

Addressing the skepticism, Parker suggested that it didn't resemble a hunter due to the absence of hunting gear, such as a bow, which is typically used during bow hunting season. "It didn't appear to be carrying anything," she added.

This year has been particularly eventful in terms of Bigfoot sightings, with an alleged encounter captured on camera in the forests of Mississippi over the summer. Reports of Bigfoot sightings have been circulating in the United States for well over a century, with numerous claims originating from the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

The description provided by Washington's National Guard aligns with the Parkers' account. They stated, "Those who claim to have seen Bigfoot have described everything from a large, upright ape to an actual hairy human, sometimes standing over eight feet tall and described as powerfully built. The debate and research continue," wrote the military branch regarding the legend.

According to the University of Arizona, the folklore surrounding Bigfoot may trace its origins to an extinct giant ape called Gigantopithecus, which coexisted with early humans.
