Syria's cease-fire continues despite regime attacks

Syrian regime forces and allied terrorist groups reportedly launched sporadic attacks late Thursday in several provinces across the war-torn country.
According to reports Anadolu Agency correspondents received from frontline sources, attacks took place in Hama province's Suran city, Idlib province's Jisr al-Shughur city and Jabal Zawiya area.
The violence came amid a nationwide cease-fire agreed from midnight (2200GMT) Dec. 30, after a deal was brokered with Turkey, Russia and the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Attacks were also recorded in Daraa province's Old Customs area and Yadudah village as well as Barada Valley (west of the capital, Damascus) in Rif Dimashq province.
According to the sources, regime forces attacked Syrian opposition groups using mortars and artillery.
No casualties were reported.
