Fifteen Daesh terrorists have been killed by Turkish military forces in Syria's al-Bab as part of ongoing Operation Euphrates Shield, launched late August by Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces against Daesh terrorist group while Russian planes pounded some other Daesh targets in Syria's Deir Qaq region, military said on Tuesday.

Amid the clashes on Tuesday's counter-terror attack, 150 Daesh targets were reportedly destroyed, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) said.

The military statement said that Turkish jets also destroyed four other Daesh targets in total including sheltering and ammunition store in al-Bab and Bzagah region, and added that 37 other Daesh terrorist were seriously wounded during the operation.

Deir Qaq, where Russian jets hit Daesh targets, is 8 kilometers (nearly 5 miles) southwest of al-Bab. The Turkish military is supporting FSA fighters to liberate al-Bab, a strategic city for Daesh.

The Turkey-led Operation Euphrates Shield aims to improve security, support coalition forces and eliminate the terrorist threat along Turkey's border using FSA fighters backed by Turkish artillery and jets.
