Israeli forces forcibly dispersed Palestinian demonstrators on Friday in different areas throughout the occupied West Bank.
Near the Beit El Jewish settlement near the West Bank city of Ramallah, Israeli forces used rubber bullets and teargas to disperse protesters.
Organized by Palestinian political factions, the demonstrations are held every Friday across the West Bank to protest the recent U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
In Hebron (Al-Khalil), meanwhile, demonstrators marched from the Al-Rawda Mosque in the city center toward the nearby Jewish settlement of Kiryat Arba.
Marchers raised banners and shouted slogans against U.S. President Donald Trump's decision last December to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, breaking with decades of U.S. Middle East policy.
Similar demonstrations were seen Friday in the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem and the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
As of midday, no serious injuries had been reported among demonstrators.
On Dec. 6, Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, drawing widespread condemnation from across the region and angry protests in the Palestinian territories.
Jerusalem remains at the heart of the Middle East conflict, with Palestinians hoping that East Jerusalem -- occupied by Israel since 1967 -- might eventually serve as the capital of a Palestinian state.
