A possible bomb attack by YPG/PKK terror group has been foiled in opposition-held Jarabulus in northern Syria, local authorities said.
According to local police, a bomb-laden motorcycle was found near a hospital and the bomb has been defused. A suspect was also arrested with a remote controller in his possession that could detonate the explosives, they added.
According to preliminary investigation, police confirmed the suspect as PKK affiliate who planned the attack in order to sabotage Turkish military's entrance to Manbij.
Following liberation of the Azaz-Jarabulus area in northern Syria from the Daesh terror group, Turkey started police training in the region in late 2017 and has so far trained thousands of Syrian policemen.
