Heavy rains have paralyzed life in Kuwait, forcing the government to announce Tuesday a public holiday.
The Gulf state has witnessed torrential rains in the past two days, which led to flooding in various areas across the country.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti cabinet announced Tuesday as a holiday for all ministries, public and private schools and universities over the rains.
Kuwait's exchange market also said it was halting operations on Tuesday due to bad weather.
No injuries have been reported in the rainfalls.
Kuwait Airways, however, said no flights have been cancelled due to bad weather and that all scheduled flights to and from Kuwait International Airport will continue as planned.
