Israeli army arrests Palestinian woman in West Bank

Israeli forces on Monday detained a Palestinian woman at a military checkpoint in the occupied West Bank, according to a Palestinian NGO.
Iftekar Kamil, 25, was arrested as she was crossing the Qalandia checkpoint between Ramallah and Jerusalem, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said in a statement without elaborating.
There was no comment from the Israeli military on the report.
According to Palestinian figures, some 6,500 Palestinians continue to languish in Israeli detention facilities, including scores of women and hundreds of minors.
