A young Palestinian man was killed in clashes with Israeli forces in the central West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Tuesday.
In a statement, the ministry said that Mohamed Shaheen, 23, was critically injured after being shot through the heart by Israeli troops during clashes that erupted earlier Tuesday in the occupied West Bank city of Salfit.
"Shaheen arrived at the hospital in critical condition," the statement read. "He was pronounced dead minutes later."
Israeli forces reportedly raided the city on Tuesday morning, sparking clashes with local Palestinian youth.
Earlier the same day, another young Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli forces following an alleged knife attack in the West Bank city of Hebron (Al-Khalil).
